The recent floods in Nepal have been devastating. Roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, and homes have been destroyed, with dozens of villages severely affected. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, have lost their lives, and countless others remain missing.

At LSF, our commitment is to stand with girls and their families for the long haul. We believe sustained support is one of the most meaningful ways we can help communities recover and build a more secure future.

Reopening and rebuilding schools will be a critical part of that recovery. Schools can provide children with a safe and stable environment while connecting them to education, food, clean water, healthcare, psychosocial support, and other essential resources. They can also help protect children from increased risks of exploitation, child labor, and early marriage following a disaster.

That is why we are asking you to join us in supporting vulnerable girls and their families, who have been made even more vulnerable by this tragedy. Together, we can provide the stability, safety, routine, and hope they need during this time of tremendous disruption and uncertainty.
