Supporting Programs
Counseling and Awareness Raising addresses challenges Little Sisters may face socially and helps educate them, and their parents, teachers and communities, on how to support girls’ education and rights.
Each month LSF's Coordinating Mentors meet with the Little Sisters to discuss relevant topics, including the importance of their education, discipline and self-control, time management, work ethic, communication skills, leadership qualities, critical thinking and goal setting. Additionally, Little Sisters learn about internet safety as well as issues such as climate change, adolescence and puberty, and mental health and wellbeing. Through counseling and raising awareness of these important issues, we aim to empower Little Sisters in every possible way to reach their maximum potential.
